I moved to the 6th floor. the house is super cool, yet it needs to be turned into my home. thing is I now have a terrace to myself. and the feeling resembles that of an airplane landing. towards the sea. oh yeah. apart from having to pack and unpack all my belongings in more or less one day I have not been doing much lately. not feeling very fashionable either. heh. "fashionable". my appearance reminds more of a skater dude, pushing thirty, unable to accept the fact that he is getting too old for this shit. too old to grow up I guess.

it is a common truth that ~~many~~ most of the carrot shaped pants do not agree with me. Simply put, I look awful in them. I bought these because they have the blue shade I love the most and also because they are cut above the ankle. turns out I did ok, since I now have something else to wear to work instead of jeans. they also slouch in the back, making my ass completely disappear and yet I find myself wearing them almost everyday.

His AW 2011-12 collection was his best work yet, reminding people what it's like to see a catwalk in which the clothes are the ones catching your eye, not the bought shoes, or the preposterous make up. A job well done indeed with vicious layering, sinister textile abundance and lo! flashes of black leather. yes please.

his clothes were shown by his friends and not professional models, which is the epitomy of coolness, since well, our friends are the coolest people we know. aren't they? Lovely Despina walked for Sotiris too. She wrote a hilarious story of the whole thing here.

the mens line was my favorite, though I did fall in love with a fuscia shirt dress from the womens line.

his name is Vikes short for Vikentios and he came to Athens many years ago from Konstantinople. He is my shoe hero, the cobbler that has prolonged the life of my shoes since I can remember. From my Zeta sneakers in elementary school, to the battered up Martens of my teens, up to a pair of Doukas pumps I dared to wear in an Alabama Thunderpussy gig at An club.

His skills are a combination of great experience and pure love for shoes. It makes me sad to think about his little store closing soon, since he will eventually retire and his children are all living abroad, leaving noone in his shoes (excuse the pun) to carry on the fine craft.

thanx to Buldoza.gr I got to go to the first fashion bussiness forum. I stayed throughout the whole thing along with all the fashion bloggers.
due to camera trouble I won't be posting any photos but I think all the other girls did a much better job than I would ever do so check out extesnive reports and photos on Nell's Fashion Mixx, Elena's LFOL, Katerina's Fashion Algorithms, Georgia's Mthfckn Sugahspank Blog Rena's The Way I do and in so many others I am forgetting sorry guys.
As for the forum, I did enjoy some of the speakers including mr. Tseklenis and mr.Plane also mr. McDowell. the food was there and the seats were fine.

What I did not like were
*the sea of suits. and by that I mean all the businessmen that looked, like they were bored out of their heads because of course, they know everything allready.
*the length of the forum. I went in there at 9 and left at 6 thrirty.
*the pannels with greek businessmen arguing whether there is a future in the internet as a fashion market. I couldn't help but think of this video:

we went to see Mamacita on Fire last night, at Villa Mercedes. we had a blast. no excuses. the train the other day to go to Thessaloniki for an interview with grindcore legends Napalm Death. due to extensive studying requirements though, the trip had to be just a wiff of a trip. travel early in the morning on Thursday, see the show, have the interview, party, sleep, wake up, check out, see my nephew a bit and then hop back on the train and reach Sofia at night. and so it was. like a freakin dream. the train takes 6 hours. it has no cafe on board so if you forget to buy some water before hand, then I'm sorry pal but you'll get thirsty. same applies to food (I made a sandwich - I just love to brag about this, I am making sanwiches all the time). thank god for the music, J.D. Salinger, and an essie nail polish I brought with, the journey was made easier. turns out I had a great time afterall.

I think 3 people have tried to explain this game to me and yet I resisted bravely by making low blow remarks such as "I don't know about this game man but the t-shirts are the best" or "this is the way to wear a cap, not the lame ass flat beacks the rappers wear". Truth is I find the baseball tees fantastic with their 3/4 sleeves in different colour, all that Sunday casual sense they carry, they seem to be the most unpretentious top one can wear. my dear alexandra brought me this one as a pick me up from London, I think it's from topshop. What is so great about it is the feel of the material and the cut that makes it slouch just as much as you want it to. thank you dear I love this.

I happen to love me a nice rest room. there is this club near home. its rest room is way the best of the sum of its parts. I can stay there, drink my vodka in peace and pretend I'm at a punk bar instead of a club playing strictly house. my outfit was not club-fash either. I didn't get any weird looks though.

I am having a ~~blast~~ hard time here in Sofia. Today I realized I just wanted to stay in my room, listen to the new one from the Black Keys over and over again and do absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. ok, maybe feel sorry for myself. I like to do that sometimes. so I did just that.I did just that, after coming back from my depilation session at noon. After all that gruesome hair pulling I couldn't help but wonder why do I even bother with all this bullshit. The maintenance of beauty and the unhealthy lust for shoes. Naturally I could not find an answer. it is afterall one of those days, you need to just crawl through with the minimum of effort, therefore no sparks in the nervous cells of my brain. no answer. nada. brain dead. me, in my pj's, gulping down couscous, putting on cream, starting to tiddy up and abandoning the effort 2 minutes in. me in all my rotting glory. you are so jealous right now aren't you. yeah well.

that means stairs in Bulgarian. I live on the 4th floor. there is no elevator so I take the stairs. it has helped me signifficantly in not becoming a whale as I eat tons of ice cream and pizzas while I sit on my ass most of the day studying. thank you stairs. this outfit has become somewhat of a uniform for me here. weather is quite cold now so I rarely leave the house in any other shoe. boots. as I have said in the past, it is all about the boots. the rest is just things that make me feel comfy. worn out denim, both pants and shirt. and of course the only bag I brought here, which has proven itself tougher than Chuck-fuckin-Norris, the magazine gift bag. for 2 euro.

I miss Athens in September. it is then, when the most interesting things occur. concerts, movie festivals and the best parties, where desparate people gather to dance and drink themselves to oblivion. instead, I get to study and hate myself for not exercising at all. nice.

I saw the Runaways movie the other day. kinda boring but still easy to the eye and ear. this song is one of my all time classics, the "I want this in my post-funeral party" kinda song.

I have been in Sofia for a month now and I haven't yet unpacked. sad? I didn't really think about it until today, when my roomie wanted to switch rooms. I don't think of it as sad though. some might argue otherwise, but still there is something very intruiging in always having a suitcase ready to go. and what a suitcase that is.

I have been trying to find a way to return to my regular posting -music videos included. I promise I will.

P.S. my motorhead t-shirt has produced so many nods of approval here in Sophia. Apparently they love their metal.

whenever I wake up mad with the world I like to dress up like a clown. it gives me a sense of superiority (strangely) and I can wave my freak flag high, looking down on everyone that passes my way. today I woke up in great need for a weapon of mass destruction. watched brad pitt preparing bombs from soap for a bit, then read some of this. finally I just dressed like I fled some posh rehab center and went to class.
